Just Me and My Grandmother

"It's good to finally be able to spend some time together. Though, I wish we could have done so when we were human."

I need to at least start off by saying, "GRASS!!" The grass was hard to do, and I don't remember why I thought it was a good idea to try doing it straight off digitally, I'm not even that swell on backgrounds as usual. But, it's better than nothing, I wish I could have made it blend nicer with the subjects in the pichur. ( " O");

I did at least try to experiment with layering stuff in the background to make it look somewhat detailed.

So, anywho~ I've got another one of those laid-off-to-the-last-moment pics done here, and half the reason was because I would be drawing the other half of a particular couple, thus implementing something in regards to her significant other. But that really shouldn't be affecting anything, and I'll simply move on from here.

I had been wanting to draw this silly, simple shot in commemoration of Tokyo Mirage Session #FE's translated reveal a few E3's ago-- it used to be known as Genei Ibunroku #FE, in case this may seem unclear to anyone.
Specifically, I wanted to draw Shiida and Chrom doing something together, since they finally have some family time with just each other.

(Okay, there's Cain, Draug, etc. But they'll give these two some space after memories are recollected, d'okey? )

And the first thing that came to mind for "spending time" was, uhh, going fishing.
That usually sounds like a thing a grandkid would do with his-or-her grandfather, but I still felt this was kinda cute.
I even threw in a little giddy expression on Chrom's face, or at least what we can see as his face. ( ` 3`);

Overall, I wanted to make some calm scene with two rather-scary-looking subjects for the moment.
I had also wanted to put their Masters, Itsuki and Tsubasa somewhere, or maybe some uneasy onlookers, but felt it was too much. Plus, who else would even be able to see them anyway? They're Mirages now.
_{And that's why I drew Chrom with feet for once, since this is no longer his human body and I wanted to emphasize that somehow. (Gosh, Mew. You're odd...)}

The detailing on the outfits were quite a crazy time, and both designs are cool as they look, yet they have some practicality issues that I wished to be improved on a teense. Otherwise, it was still fun to draw them, let alone Shiida for the first time in ages! It's been too long!
