My Secret Retreat

I haven't done some hand-colored work in a long while, I feel ashamed...!!
Meeper, but I did one now, right? I was just worried about using up so much marker for hair-- since I am started to run out of yellow and dying on brown. Anywho, though my new pens are quite fade-ish compared to my old ones that ran out too.

I wanted to get back onto my Nintendo-art by working on a character that I haven't touched on for a bit, so I chose Marth.

In the manga-- which is really old, and I'm still looking for the rest of it-- his sister Elice found him hanging around the castle gardens playing with some birds, and that's how I got the idea for this concept.

But instead, that was a younger Marth. I drew the current one just because, and also as though he was reminiscing about being here as a younger boy.

In which the marker boldens him out compared to the Peep-like birdies-n-background~

I'd like to get some more hand-colored stuff done before AP Art comes back to take away my time with this. ( ~, 3,)~
