Oh, Brother...

"Sorry, Protoman, but you're right. These shades really do make a robot look cool!"

I told myself already, "Try drawing with the helmets, try drawing with the helmets, try drawing with 'em on." But I always end up bringing myself to wanna draw them without them. I mean, look at their hair!! It's so fun to draw!
(Even if I may have it a teense inaccurate, I tried~)

After getting pretty comfortable drawing my style of Megaman, I thought that I could interest myself into drawing Protoman-- his "brother" or such is said as he's the first. Then, there was the problem with remembering what his everything looked like. And with very subtle references, I ended up with this-- while adding some details given to Megaman in Smash to Protoman as well.

And in the midst of me doodling him like crazy, I kept thinking about Protoman's shades. Not only does he look like the mysterious Mr.CoolCat or anything~ But there suddenly came this running joke between me-n-myself (lonely...) regarding his eyes-- as no one's ever really seen them before. Like, maybe their too much like Megaman's being adorable and all, so that gives away from his cool motif.

I also just like the idea of "family". So having Megaman being a little teasy-playful with Protoman by stealing his shades from time-to-time was something I really wanted to draw. Hope you don't mind, I don't mean to ruddy anyone's beloved fandom by drawing these. My little brother played these games a lot when we were younger, so I am fairly familiar with the little guy. It's nothing more than a cute pichur for nostalgia, no?

Now seriously, I'm gonna probably draw more pichurs of these guys for some reason... Hopefully one where they actually have their helmets on!! Look forward to that?
