While the day of my initial hype passed thanks to school, I am still super happy to learn that Fire Emblem Gaiden will be having a 3DS remake through Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia! So I'll finally be able to play another old title, given that it will be revamped fairly well (I hope!).

And more so, it is super refreshing to see a new style in this FE title, not that I have anything against Mr. Kozaki and his artwork. I just think  it'd be good to see something different for once, and not just slap a single look on FE for the rest of its life. ( ` <`);

That being said, Alm and Celica finally have new not-ugly-for-Alm looks, and they are just incredible~ What I like about the designer Hidari's choice is that I can clearly see some Kozaki-Emblem hints, especially in Alm's clothes to Lucina, yet they resemble the originals tastefully. Not to mention, the style and coloring of the overall art make me think of a lovely fusion of several other FE artists from past games. So that's totally kyuulio too~!

With that, Alm has finally found that balance between his baby-face in the original game and adult-something from the manga, and has gained full control over his intense hormones. Now here he rises. Maybe a little too much.

I did reduce some detail on Celica's outfit here, just because she's drawn in-chibi. But no worries, I will do them proper shots in the future, as I'd hope!
Hooray for Gaiden's true recognition, says me who never played it yet would love to!
