Whatever Happens There, Stays There

Please, you need to tell us when things go too far, okay? You shouldn't deal with it like this.

SORRY, WARNING, THIS COMIC IS FLIPPIN'-UBER LONG!!
But I wanted to fit it all into one file so, I am so sorry...!! (Can we all read the words? Please, tell me if you are unable to.)

Two things I learned from making this comic:
1. I hesitate a lot about making sure panels are uniquely positioned (thanks, "fear of repetition").
2. Dunban has very beautiful hair, even though it drives me crazy drawing it.

Well, whether or not this was worth the wait of my whining-n-pining these past few weeks, I am glad to have it done, this comic!

So, actually, this comic had actually been long overdue in when it occurred, so really, this stuff had happened a long while back from where my fanpictions are right now. But I have been meaning to make something for this to explain Chrom's supposed-n-unexpained absence from Smash that he kinda mentions in this comic that occurs much after the one above.

By now, as in right now at this moment, Chrom should be okay now.

Nevertheless, I also had many reasons for putting this ol'thing together.
One of which is not to be some sorta "pity comic" for what Chrom had to put up with from being openly humiliated during his friend-n-daughter's reveal. I really try not to have things like that.

In fact, I wanted to state that Chrom is in no way bothered by being left out from the playable side of Smash-- and that he's happy for this loved ones as it is-- but doing so word-for-word sounded very, well... wordy. On that note, what's bothering Chrom is more that his credibility as a person has somewhat plummeted due to the aforementioned decision, and the jeering and joking about it has been getting to him more than he would want it to be.

And honestly, even for stronger fellows like him, things can get the better of you if they're pressed for too long.
Stuff like that happens, and I'm sure we can feel similarly at times. Or so that's how I've felt of it.

Overall, what ends up happening is that Chrom ends up having a confrontation with a the literal embodiment of his unwanted and negative thoughts, which take full control at some point, and becoming what we know as his Mirage form. I've always thought that scary look kinda seemed like a living version of his anger and hate-- not necessarily some oh-that's-edgy thing to impress Mr. Sakurai for Smash that most people tended to make it, joke-wise.

That bit aside, I did want to try again at making a comic that had some action in it, as well as trying something with the Final Smash Supporters as a focus, especially since their attitudes and actions would differ greatly than if the same situation were to occur at the Mansion instead.
Because of that, the diction and stuff regarding these more adult characters is clearly different from what I normally work with, hence the slight bit of me allowing some small cursing and whatnot just for this, please excuse those, I tried to make them discreet! ( > ,<);

And honestly, this was some crazy challenge in many directions, and I haven't done a comic this great-n-long since "Aika".
Even more so because there are, like, three different styles of guys in this comic that I had to switch back-n-forth to.

But it was kinda refreshing and nice to take a stab at the variability here, be it the characters, the style, or just the perspectives.
Sorry for the long description, but a long comic means a long explanation.

And now I'm tuckered-out again. I should ease my head-n-hands before drawing another thing later. ( " ~");
