Description

The longest game of hide-and-seek.

Since the day I was invited back to Smash, I've been taking care of Charizard for Red.
It's not like he asked me to do it or anything, because he wasn't even there.

Everyone I asked said that Charizard came alone, and the first thing he did was roam around the halls looking real lost.
They all guessed that he must have gotten separated from Red at one point, and was trying to look for him.

As the days past, Red never came, even when they sent more letters for him.
Where had he been all this time?

Charizard stopped running around the Mansion, maybe to keep himself together for when his Trainer might come back.
But then, one morning, he started acting really strange...

Well-well~! A tad late n' all, but some recent Pokemon-related news actually got me motivation somehow to make a comic!
Let alone, a comic that involves characters that I hardly ever work with, what a challenge, eh? But one that I put upon myself at my own accord. :D

So, for those who didn't know, it seems that Red has returned for the upcoming title Pokemon Sun & Moon as a challenger in a thing called the Battle Tree! And the more notable thing, the boy's a grown up~! I do swear, everyone is just growing up and/or having new generations now!
As I still have not gotten over how Kratos has a son, and Layton's got a daughter, what a time...!!

But before I forget, here's the Trailer for said news, if you're okay with being given away any official word of this game. ( ' v')b

. . . So back to Red. I honestly think he looks pretty nice.
Not too bara, not too bishie, (to no offense of either, because I like characters from each type) but ju~st in-between to have this nice, burly build. And for some reason I really like that choice they made for him, it kinda suits a guy who climbed-n-stayed on top of a freezing mountain for who-knows-how-long. :nod:

And him growing up kinda fit with this somewhat-vague idea I had established (in-words) back in my Smash 4 Fanpictions, which described my reasoning for why Charizard entered Smash alone. In short terms, the thing which I refer as the "Twitch Epidemic"-- something based off the Twitch Plays Pokemon streams-- was an unknown incident that involved the disappearance of some few children, Red being one of them.

It's not clear what actually happened to the missing children, since no one was ever found, nor did they understand what made them leave without a trace.

That's pretty much my semi-dark take on the uncontrollable movement that took place during the otherwise-fun streams.
In addition to that, I did also recall at one point (though it's been years, so my memory may be off) that during the Red/Blue stream, the players accidentally released their Charmeleon. So that just furthered my decision to tie the Twitch plays with this idea, as if Red had somehow left Charizard behind without his knowing.

And after some period of time, he came back to his senses and was found in Alola, much older than when he first went missing.

I also thought about including Lucas at the last minute, mostly because he had an affiliation with Red back in Brawl.
And I kinda wanted someone to talk in this comic aside from Red, just to voice all our confusion. ( * <*);

I know this may be a lot of explanation to read, but I have to describe the context of this somehow without putting too much exposition in the comic.
Because that would just be so much wordiness than I would like...! ^^;

That being said, I did experiment on a few things with this comic; namely, a differing structure and cut-off sort of presentation of the story, and also those weird clouds. Of course, these were experimental, so it's not like I'm going to do this from now on, huh?

And since this description is already long enough, I'm just going to briefly point out how many off-shots of Charizard I have, and how I feel like "I am never going to draw him again". I just positioned him badly in each try, not to mention my entire anatomy died-out towards the end.
(Please don't ask me to draw anthro's, they're so specific! :nuu: )

Lucas still look the same, and Red went through puberty.
